Rental apartments in Scottsdale bring investors the highest rental incomes in the West Valley according to the latest report from online rental platform Zumper.
The report ranks 11 Valley cities according to the rental price of one-bedroom apartment units. In Scottsdale, the median one-bedroom rental unit goes for $1,250, slightly above the national one-bedroom median rental price of $1,198.
Gilbert, Arizona places second to Scottsdale with a median one-bedroom rental price of $1,000. according to Zumper, which named Glendale, Arizona the least expensive city for one-bedroom rentals at $740.
The Phoenix area is relatively affordable compared to other large cities in the nation. Ten of the region’s 11 cities Zumper analyzed are under the national median. Demand for rentals in the Valley won’t be falling any time soon and rent prices are expected to subtly increase over the summer moving season.
Since 2017, Mesa had the fastest-growing rent rate of 13.8 percent, followed by Avondale and Chandler, where rent climbed more than 10 percent in both cities.
