Metro Phoenix home sales in 2017 will set the bar for 2018. In fact, it was one of the area’s best-ever years for home sales. An early account shows that 93,500 homes were purchased in 2017, 6 percent higher than home sales in 2016.
According to the Cromford Report, 2004, 2005, and 2011 were the most recent years in which Phoenix experienced higher house sales. Investors have been snatching up bargain properties in Phoenix since 2011, as the area’s economy, lifestyle, business growth, and sunny climate have attracted growing numbers of new residents, led by Millennials and baby boomers in retirement mode.
